mcp.hk is independent, open-source infrastructure for Hong Kong public data, extending mcp-open-data-hk with MCP, HTTP APIs and source-linked data workflows.

## What is mcp.hk?

mcp.hk gives apps and AI assistants a shared, read-only interface to Hong Kong public data. Developers can discover datasets, inspect source resources and query supported records through MCP or HTTP. Public access is free and does not require an mcp.hk account or API key. Rate limits and provider availability apply.

## Independent software, original sources

mcp.hk is not a Hong Kong Government service and is not endorsed by every data provider. It extends the open-source mcp-open-data-hk project. Government data and independent packs such as Plate.hk and SeeHouse retain their own identity, attribution and terms. The MIT licence covers the software, not all underlying data.

Report a broken source, unclear field or software issue in the public repository. Include the dataset or resource identifier and a reproducible example. Do not post credentials, private queries or personal information. Source providers remain the authority for the original records.
